We had a food truck from Salvedoreno's and Javier’s Ice Cream Truck. Live music performed by the The Tounge Darts and Second Hand Obsession. Our local Councilwoman, Deb Stark, and Phoenix Mayor, Kate Gallego, spoke at our event. Fun day for everyone!

October 21th, 2023 Ocotillo Hills Block Watch G.A.I.N. Event
G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods). Another fun event with multiple Sunnyslope Block Watches and Organizations. Athough it was a extremely warm day for October, we had a lot of fun with the Jam Tram karaoke truck with our own Ocotillo Hills residents showing that they can sing with the best (and dance!). We grilled up hamburgers, hot dogs (veggie and regular), and veggie bites for everyone.

December 9th, 2023 2nd Annual Sunnyslope Holiday Market & Parade
Ocotillo Hills Residents came together to design and build a float for the December 9th parade down Hatcher Rd from 7th Ave to Central Ave. In addition, one of our residents brought their VW bus which won second place in the APS Electric Light Parade. This was the second year, and there was so much more support from the Sunnyslope residents, there were more vendors, and more floats. Even the Desert Horizon Precinct Police Department had a float. There was food, music, vendors, and North Mountain Brewing and OHSO brewery each a beer tent.

Sep 25 2021 - May 20th, 2022 Ocotillo Hills Block Watch Love Your Block Grant

We applied for a grant in 2020 from Neighborhood Services to get 4 entry signs for our neighborhood with solar lighting. Neighbors came together to design, manufacture, landscape, and install the signs. A 1960s advertisement for the Ocotillo Hills neighborhood, which included a midcentury modern font, inspired the design of these signs.
October 15th, 2022 Ocotillo Hills Block Watch G.A.I.N. Event
G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods). Even with sporadic rain, we had a great turnout of neighbors at Norton Park with 9 other block watches and neighborhood business groups. Residents from far and wide donated needed items for the residents that lost their belongings and homes in an apartment fire.
